In most cases you don't get to meet your Home Inspector untill you arrive at the inspection. Please allow me to introduce myself.
I am a Mother of 6 fabulous children, aged 33 to 18. With my husband Rick and many dear friends, we built our own log home.
Fresh out of high school my sister and I started our first business in the Nail Technician industry. Strong customer service, high skill level and innovation were our corner stone.
Art and painting in various mediums is a passion, which has enhanced my eye for detail.
I have been involved in many home building projects.
At left I am on the scaffolding installing vinyl siding as a volunteer on a Habitat For Humanity home in Peterborough Ontario (2013) As well I served on the Women Build Project, special events team, and volunteer building from footing through interiors and exteriors on two homes.
This past year I have been busy instructing Home Inspection as a second career at CCBST. Not only passing on my knowledge but being challenged by up and coming inspectors is very fulfilling for me.
In short (literally at 5ft tall) I make keeping fit a priority. This is a physically demanding job if done properly. Climbing, crawling and carrying is what it takes to get a good look. (that's one of the things I love about it)
I keep up with continued learning in the industry and I am a member of International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI) since 2007.

Why choose The Art of Home Inspection? Thats always a good question. While most inspectors will do a decent inspection for thier client, I want bring you into the process. I take the time to show my client so they can see with thier own eyes. This helps the client understand and provides an opportunity to ask questions on the spot. While I provide photo's with a written report (inspection type dependent), seeing, I believe to be the best for My clients. The more eyes the better. This helps to understand the inspection process and just how much I actually look at. Your input is always welcomed. When I'm finished the inspection I want my client to feel satisfied with the whole process. I will also give further information on any thing that I think would be of interest about the home or other inquiries made by the client. Included with the report and photo cd is a home maintainance schedule as well. When we meet feel free to tell me about specific needs in the home that could make the transition to the new home easier. Hope to meet you soon!
